PUBLISHED WORKS

I frequently publish in the academic press, including peer reviewed articles in the Cambridge International Law Journal, Refuge, Forced Migration Review, and others, as well as peer reviewed book chapters in edited collections by Edward Elgar Publishing, Springer, Berghahn Books, Oxford University Press, and Routledge, among others. 

I also frequently author op-eds. I have had pieces run in The New York Times, The Guardian, and Al Jazeera, The Transnational Institute, and Just Security, as well as local outlets like The Toronto Star, the Globe and Mail, Euractiv, The Border Chronicle, and The Conversation, among others.

For the United Nations, I have co-drafted the 2020 influential report by former UN Special Rapporteur on Discrimination, E. Tendayi Achiume, on border technologies. With Professor Lorna McGregor at Essex University, I co-authored the 2023 report for the UN Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights on the human rights based approach to digital border governance, among other reports and advice.
